TECHNICAL FEATURES

INDICATIONS

• Bayticol contains, as the only active ingredient, the lectoparassicide Flumethrin, the latest generation synthetic pyrethroid. The substance has a mechanism of action based on the alteration of the permeability of the cell membrane of the neurons of arthropods to ions Na + and K +, with consequent block of nerve conduction.
• Flumethrin has a broad spectrum of action towards arthropods and the formulation of Bayticol is particularly effective against infestations by ticks of all kinds and all stages of development (larvae, methanymph and adults) and infestations by lice that infest the dog. Flumetrina is also characterized by its rapid killing effect and Bayticol is already active in this sense after only 60 minutes from application and completes its activity within 6/7 hours.
• Bayticol reduces the environmental infesting load by inhibiting the deposition of blood-filled ticks (sterilizing effect).
• After a single application of Bayticol at the recommended concentration, sufficient tickicide levels remain on the skin surface of the animal (there is no absorption of the active ingredient) for a few weeks (residual efficacy).
• Due to the favorable toxicological profile of the active ingredient Bayticol can also be used on puppies, pregnant bitches and dogs of all ages, breeds and conditions (by adopting the appropriate precautions, it is possible, in fact, to treat even subjects in poor nutrition, or convalescing).

HOW TO USE

• Bayticol is indicated in the control of tick and dog lice infestations.
• Ticks and Fleas: The sterilizing larvicidal adulticide effect with residual action manifests itself rapidly at the normal dose of use of 1 mg of Flumethrin / kg bodyweight, corresponding to 5 ml of Bayticol for every 10 liters of water (0.5 ml / liter).
• Lice: 2 mg of Flumerina / kg bodyweight equal to 10 mg of Bayticol for every 10 liters of water (1.0 ml / liter).
• The solution thus obtained must be distributed on the surface of the animals, by bath or sponge, without rinsing. Particular attention should be paid to the cutaneous parts of the predilection of parasites, such as auricles, neck, armpits, plate of the thighs and perianal area.
• It is advisable to treat all animals living in the same group.
• If a certain reinfestation is noticed, after about 2 weeks from the previous treatment, it is possible to make a second application of Bayticol
